Sakurai Sensei: Just Chillin'

It's KAA Day!! Yay I finished something!! Sorry about all the sketches lately, my other job has got me whooped. This last job took several times longer than I thought it would, so now I'm waaaayy behind on my drawing. Damn it Life, get outta my way!!!

Anyway, this week it's one of my absolute favorites, My Ordinary Life (Nichijou in Japanese). This is easily one of the best anime I've seen in a very long while. Almost everything about this show is amazing. There's pretty much no narrative, accept for what fragments are needed to communicate (what I think is) the show's underlying point: that an "ordinary" life isn't really all that ordinary.
This show really shines visually. The character designs are simple without being bland and each one of them looks distinct, the scenery and backgrounds are really detailed and give a very realistic feeling to the town the show is set in, and the animation makes the characters look so lively. The ONE thing I don't like about this show is that some times the jokes are dragged out way to long. But it's pretty easy to get over that when pretty much everything else is perfect.

Also, suggestions are now open for the weekend. If there's and anime you'd like to see a drawing of just blurt it out, I might just oblige. You can do it, I know you can.
